Program includes lion dance and shadow puppet performances, learning
Chinese characters, arts and crafts and a special appearance
by members of the Northern Kunqu Opera Troupe.
The event is organized by the City of Tampere Cultural Office.
The Nordic Chinese Culture Festival will showcase the performances of the forty-person Northern Kunqu Opera Troupe, founded in 1957. Kunqu Opera is the oldest existing form of Chinese opera which features musical melodies played on traditional instruments.
